Our ads are non-intrusive and relevant. Only got four chapters into this and had to give up. I really enjoyed parts of it humoriet found the writing style a bit pompous and overly not attractively complicated.

Kane is hilarious as the humorist russell kane stand-up comedian, but as a writer he is ridiculous. I was interested in the analysis of comedy and enjoyed reading someone picking apart what they do for a living. Help, by Simon Amstell. It opens with a slaughter at the Comedy Store, and then backtracks to tell the story of the reviewer’s discovery of a secret blueprint for humour previously known only by Lenny Bruce, Bill Hicks and members of Monty Python.
I read this for a review, probably wouldn’t have continued with the humorist russell kane if I hadn’t been reviewing it but I did find myself caught up in the story, wanting to know how it would play out.
I barely made it past the first two chapters before giving up the will to live Devotees of the art of stand-up will no doubt welcome Kane’s satirical the humorist russell kane on its processes, even if he is occasionally heavy-handed when the humorist russell kane his points.
What a pile of rubbish. You do recognise Russell from the subject, his stand up has a dark side when discussing relationships and writing for reading lets him take this much further.
Don’t let yourself get fooled by the rather interesting synopsis on the back of this book, it is deceiving.
